Re: Futaba Servo S9670
Scotty, I am using them with good results. I Just bought more for new Q40 airplanes. With the exception of the high voltage capability, I don't see much difference between them and the 9650. Well, they are more expensive than the S9650 servo. I believe you can still buy the 9650"s and save a few bucks per servo, your choice. I would recommend both models.

Scotty,
Jim Allen and myself have been using them without issue since they came out a few years ago.

What I had heard (second hand) is that the first batch of them several years ago had problems and were not usable for Q-40. Since then, they have changed them somehow and the new batch are working well. I have a few 9650's left but will have to buy either 9670's or Savox 1350's pretty soon.airplanescotty wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:32 am

Re: Futaba Servo S9670
There were problems with the solder. A member did some research on the solder quality. I saw it, it was terrible. Now, I just received the newest BLS671SV. its the 9670 on steroids. Solder is beautiful. This is the I version with removable cable.gsjames wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 5:42 pmWhat I had heard (second hand) is that the first batch of them several years ago had problems and were not usable for Q-40. The 671SV is a great servo, every one of my Dagos has had them on aileron & elevator. It’s basically a 173SV with the side mounting tabs added to the case.
